When it comes time to sleep and recharge I have a hard time getting my mind to stop generating ideas. There are so many things I want to create, so many avenues that haven't been explored. As soon as I lay down it seems as though my brain decides - hey this would be a good time to go over all the ideas that have been sparked by one thing or another and start to devise how I can accomplish them - bring them to life.

Bringing your thoughts to life - that is the part that takes passion. It is not an easy task to chase your dreams. A drive that most push aside, content to see certain things come to pass instead of pushing themselves to be the one who makes it happen.



Most of the time I am responsive to these thoughts. Sometimes these thoughts keep me up all night with a sketch book open scribbling down how I can arrange things to be able to:
  • Solve problems in a scenario that doesn't even exist yet.
  • Invent something.
  • Bend the thinking about our connected medium and how to better our use of it.
  • Create a business plan for something that I believe is going to be commonplace in a few years - and plot all the benefits, hurdles and angles that you would have to think through to pull it off.
  • Create something that reaches across the world and brings back something unexpected.
  • This list could go on and on - and that is a good thing.

    Currently I am following one of these dreams. Been planning out what it is going to take to make it real. It is important to me to follow through on this because I believe in the idea and know that it is something that I would love to see done - so, I'm going to be the one to do it.

    I have been trying to rid my inbox of the 476 messages that are in there. Hate getting that big stack of stuff in there, like when you go away on vacation and then have to wade through a bunch of email cause you have let it go for too long. Another thought, if all that was real (paper) mail, man my place would be a worse disaster than it already is.

    Thrashers game tonight was unreal! We played very well, passed the puck, and played huge defensive all game. We were up 5 to zero on the NY Rangers when Todd and I left. Had great seats in the lower bowl about 15 rows back - killer!

    2nd place in the volleyball tournament this weekend. I play on a men's USA team, it's not the national team, but it is the highest level of play outside of that. I wasn't planning on going until Antnee called saying that they only had six players and someone who had to leave early. So, I rolled in there around noon and got to play right away. Came out 1st in pool play, won semis with relative ease and then met up with ProLink in the finals. They are a tough team, but one of the most fun to play against. Doesn't matter if we win or lose when we can work the whole day to get to a final against a solid team. We took it to three games and lost.
