A very tough week of work. Tomorrow should really tie everything together and make a cohesive site. Sometimes when building a highly dynamic site you can't see the entire thing (or even the home page) in context until your almost done. So, you have your Photoshop comps as a road map and then several content modules that have integration points that won't all fit until the next three levels are in place. For some of you, you know just what I'm talking about.

Funny. A... because Coop fits in this area perfectly and B... because my TV in the bedroom is raised up with paint cans and has been for two or three years now!

I'm lucky to truly love what I get to do for a living. For as long as I can remember technology and design have always seduced my attention. You can reflect on the time stamps of my posts to this site and see that I'm always up late. Usually that is because I had a thought earlier in the day, or just now, and I wanted to develop it by taking out some paper and drawing, writing a few words down or researching whether someone has thought of that already.

I enjoy that new technology brings new challenges; just as much as it does solutions. Playing the role of how to best implement something is difficult (because it is usually unknown territory) and extremely rewarding at the same time. Because you can set out with one intent, but because of the bend in the way things really end up working or talking to each other you have to develop a variety of solutions along the way. Once you do finally line it all up and it works just right - you have now opened the door to a new volume of knowledge. And I think that is what is so great about working in new media is that you have to constantly learn and be open - roll with the times and make the best thing possible at any point along the way.

Something in this whole process constantly drives me to say, "What's next." Everyday I want to be a part of something or create something that I can leave behind. That passion has led me to graphic design, photography and video. I will always have a side project that I want to produce, I will always want to do more and I will always strive to keep those dreams close at hand.
