Swim Team

We found a natatorium in the area. I'll admit that I've never even heard of that word before, but apparently smart people know what that is. For those of us who don't, it's a building that has pools in it.

We found this place online and it is only 5 minutes from my place. Really nice facility with two pools one of them is the pro looking lap pool with the starting blocks that you jump off of to look cool. Did I try it - hell yeah I did! I love to swim. It is the only excersise outside of playing an actual sport that I actually enjoy doing. So, I decided to try to make it a routine thing, burn some calories, stay in shape and hopefully make me jump higher at volleyball.

It was a great workout, very tiring considering I don't do a lot of cardio type stuff. Did laps till I was plum tuckered out. Felt really good to do something active like that.

Bowling For Advertising

Tuesday, February 08, 2005

Super Bowl ads were pretty lame this year. A few cool things, but it is just 'who can be more silly' for the most part. I wonder how many more years we'll have commercials in the sense that we know them now. The Super Bowl may be the only time they still run commercials, just for tradition sake. Of course at that time the athletes will be dressed up in Dorito bags, Beer cans and car parts in order to promote and sponsor. Ouch! That is going to be ugly.
