Big Geek - Literally

What the heck!

I was down at Full Sail this past weekend. Walking along on the tour (my 2nd time), minding my own business. Then, as we are walking to the next area, one of the guides says, "Hey man - I saw your poster."

I was like, "What poster?"

He asked if I was a graduate and I said, yes - then he preceeded to tell me that there was some big ass poster of me that is going up in one of the school's new buildout areas.

I had to see this for myself. Sure enough... there I was - about three times human size! That is nutty man, just plain nutty. This is a shot that was done for a magazine interview a while back.

I had an urge to tag my own poster, but I gave that up years ago. So, I just posed with it trying to match the GQ expression.

The Fix

Meet Eric Fickes. The Fix. Eric joined us on the FL road trip this weekend. E gets his work on as a programmer at Wiretree (which he does NOT consider his fun job).

He is shown here at the dinner table where we met a "professional" waitress. Long story. Fickes can down a full mug of beer in one gulp. Just plain amazing. We made him do it three times that night because we were all so damn impressed!

Mega Truck

Sunday, June 05, 2005

You don't see something like this everyday. On our Florida road trip we came across this truck/tank/toy. We cornered the owner as he got out of the vehicle and we ohhh'd and ahhh'd over it. He was really cool about talking to us about it. As he should be. He told us the ins and outs, the history and even dropped us a card of the place he bought it (because we found it that the place is just an hour north of where we live). Crazy!
